Julian Lechner is from Berlin. It would be difficult to say what he does, since he can do almost anything! But we’ll say he is a designer with many interests and abilities.He is currently living and studying design in Bolzano but this picture was taken at Domaine de Boisbuchet, where he is part of the staff in summer.
Iss Mein Junge is one of his latest works. A food-related blog. The best thing about it is that it is really food-related and not a food or a cooking blog. Don’t expect a boring aproach. it is intresting, adictive and very recomendable.
Julian Lechner es de Berlín. Sería difícil decidir a qué se dedica, porque hace de todo. Pero lo dejaremos en que es un diseñador con muchas inquietudes y habilidades.
Actualmente vive y estudia en Bolzano (Italia) pero esta foto se hizo en Domaine de Boisbuchet, donde es parte del staff en verano.
Iss Mein Junge es uno de sus últimos proyectos. Un blog sobre cualquier cosa relacionada con la comida. Y lo mejor es que de verdad es cualquier cosa y no un blog de comida o de cocina. Además le da un tratamiento muy casero y agradable que hace que lo que escribe parezcan saludables consejos de una abuelita. Es interesante, adictivo y muy recomendable.

I am doing my thesis at the moment. Working on food and our eating habits. In details I am observing people’s eating behaviours and objects they use in terms of food. Beside I want to revive some forgotten traditions from the past. Yeah, it’s granny time! Come and join…
What did you have for breakfast today?
I had a cappuccino and brioche for breakfast today. I try to go almost every morning to the same bar next door… It’s a place where you find a lot of older people as well! But that’s not a problem while you’ll see in most of the italian bars a mixture of young and older people!
A song you would recommend now?
I can definitely recommand you a song for the moment. It’s Miike Snow – Animal!! Wow… it will make you’re day as well! I promise you…
Estoy haciendo mi tésis en estos momentos. Trabajando en comida y hábitos alimenticios. En concreto observo los comportamientos de la gente y los objetos que utilizan. Por otro lado me interesa revivir tradiciones olvidadas. Si, es el tiempo de las abuelitas! Ven y únete!
Me tomé un cappuccino y un brioche. Trato de ir casi cada mañana al mismo bar de al lado de casa.. Es un lugar donde hay mucha gente mayot también. Pero eso no es un problema pues verás que la mayoría de bares italianos son una mezcla entre jovenes y mayores!
Definitivamente recomiendo Miike Snow – Animal ahora mismo!! Os alegrará el día! Lo prometo!

On the first picture I was trying to slow down people going for a run and telling them it’s forbiden from now on. It’s in London by the way and worked you quite well! And you know what, I had to do it because our task in university was it to act antisocial…On the second picture I am promoting a fictional metro system for Bolzano! Well, it’s very very unrealistic but you’ll never know… And the last picture shows a toy family staying in line and waiting… We were just trying to amuse some people on the local market in some small and boring italian town!
Y para terminar unas performances explicadas por él mismo:
En la primera foto intentaba reducir el ritmo de gente que había salido a correr, diciéndoles que desde ahora estaba prohibido. Es en Londres, por cierto, y funcionó bastante bien! Y sabes qué? Lo tuve que hacer por que era un ejercicio dela universidad: actuar de manera antisocial…
En la segunda foto estoy promocionando un sistema de metro ficticio para Bolzano! Buenom es muy irreal pero nunca se sabe… Y en la última foto se muestra una familia de juguete esperando en fila india. Sólo se trataba de entretener a la gente de un mercadillo local en un pequeño y aburrido pueblecito italiano…
