Julian Lechner is from Berlin. It would be difficult to say what he does, since he can do almost anything! But we’ll say he is a designer with many interests and abilities.He is currently living and studying design in Bolzano but this picture was taken at Domaine de Boisbuchet, where he is part of the staff in summer.
Iss Mein Junge is one of his latest works. A food-related blog. The best thing about it is that it is really food-related and not a food or a cooking blog. Don’t expect a boring aproach. it is intresting, adictive and very recomendable.

Actualmente vive y estudia en Bolzano (Italia) pero esta foto se hizo en Domaine de Boisbuchet, donde es parte del staff en verano.
Iss Mein Junge es uno de sus últimos proyectos. Un blog sobre cualquier cosa relacionada con la comida. Y lo mejor es que de verdad es cualquier cosa y no un blog de comida o de cocina. Además le da un tratamiento muy casero y agradable que hace que lo que escribe parezcan saludables consejos de una abuelita. Es interesante, adictivo y muy recomendable.

On the first picture I was trying to slow down people going for a run and telling them it’s forbiden from now on. It’s in London by the way and worked you quite well! And you know what, I had to do it because our task in university was it to act antisocial…On the second picture I am promoting a fictional metro system for Bolzano! Well, it’s very very unrealistic but you’ll never know… And the last picture shows a toy family staying in line and waiting… We were just trying to amuse some people on the local market in some small and boring italian town!

En la primera foto intentaba reducir el ritmo de gente que había salido a correr, diciéndoles que desde ahora estaba prohibido. Es en Londres, por cierto, y funcionó bastante bien! Y sabes qué? Lo tuve que hacer por que era un ejercicio dela universidad: actuar de manera antisocial…
En la segunda foto estoy promocionando un sistema de metro ficticio para Bolzano! Buenom es muy irreal pero nunca se sabe… Y en la última foto se muestra una familia de juguete esperando en fila india. Sólo se trataba de entretener a la gente de un mercadillo local en un pequeño y aburrido pueblecito italiano…

Amina Agueznay is from Casablanca (Morocco) where she lives and works. She creates/designs/does innovative jewellery with a great inspiration from nature. Her collars, rings and bracelets are not only aesthetical decoration but arquitectural constructions that complement the body.

Amina worked as an architect in New York for seven years and then returned to Casa Blanca where she started working with the Berber jewellery that her mother had been collecting for over 60 years. She deconstructed the pieces and reconstructed them in a completely new way. She became intrested in the Berber tradition, but it was more about the materials than about the actual pieces.

Therefore we can spot two main characteristics of her work: the architectural aspect (constructing around the body) and nature. One can also see that her work is neat and far from excess, very different to the Berber tradition, where she takes inspiration and materials from.

Amina Agueznay es de Casablanca (Marruecos) donde vive y trabaja. Crea/diseña/hace joyas innovadoras con una gran inspiración proveniente de la naturaleza. Sus collares, anillos y brazaletes son no sólo decoración, sino construcciones arquitectónicas que complementan el cuerpo.

Amina trabajó como arquitecta en Nueva York durante siete años y después regresó a Casa Blanca, donde empezó a trabajar con la joyería Bereber que su madre había ido coleccionando durante más de 60 años. Deconstruye piezas y las vuelve a construir de una forma completamente diferente. Mantiene materiales de la tradición Bereber, pero las piezas finales no tienen nada que ver. Así pues podemos ver dos características principales en su trabajo: el aspecto arquitectónico (construir en torno al cuerpo) y la naturaleza. También se puede apreciar que su trabajo es limpio y refinado, muy diferente a la tradición BrecordandoBereber, de la cual toma inspiración y materiales.

Max Lamb works in london, but comes from Cornwall (UK). He is a designer and works with materials, pushing them to new limits, and seems more intrested in the process than the final result. When things cannot be done, he tries them himself, and finds out how to do so.

Nature, materials and processes are very important on his work. He has a series of “chairs” with which he explored a selection of materials in a very personal way. Steel, polystyrene, bronze or starch (yes, potato) are some of the materials (and then processes) he’s having fun with.

Max Lamb trabaja en Londres pero es de Cornwall (UK). Es diseñador y trabaja con materiales, empujándolos hasta nuevos límites, y parece más interesado en el proceso que en el resultado final. Cuando le dicen que algo no se puede hacer, se pone manos a la obra hasta que consigue hacerlo él mismo.

La naturaleza, los materiales y el proceso son vitales en su trabajo. Tiene una serie de “sillas” son las que exploró una selección de materiales de una forma muy personal. Acero, poliestireno, bronce ofécula (si, de patata) son algunos de los materiales con los que ha estado jugando.

Sasha is an artist. An electropop singer/performer from Moscow with very peculiar aesthetics (latex and flourescent colors!), present in all her projects. She is one of famous Andrei Bartenev‘s students across the world and Aquaaerobika is her greatest project so far.

“Aquaaerobika is a project synthesizing art-performance and electronic music. It’s founder is Sasha Frolova – Moscow artist and a student of famous performance artist and sculptor Andrey Bartenev. She presents herself in the show in animated style image of silicone blonde, universal superwoman from the future with ultra-abilities. The plot of the show is endless computer game in which the main character travels through parallel worlds of future and talks about it’s feelings, dreams, love and hope of finding it. Electro-pop, 8bit, disco-house and avant-garde sometimes quite abstract texts are mixed with a vivid spectacular performance based on images of postmodernism.” as we can read on her myspace.

Sasha es una artista. Canta baila y hace-de-tó. Cantante electro-pop de Moscow, se mueve entre la música y la performance y tiene una estética (latex y fluorescencias) muy definida, presente en todo lo que hace.
Es una de l@s aprendices de Andrei Bartenev repartidos por el mundo y su gran proyecto es Aquaaerobika. Se trata de un grupo (¿?) de música electrónica y performance que presenta en su show a una Sasha rubia y siliconada, superwoman universal con ultra-poderes. En el show ella viaja a través de mundos paralelos y habla sobre sentimientos, sueños, amor y la esperanza de encontrarlo. Electro-pop, 8bit, disco-house y avant-gard mezclados con una espectacular performance basada en imágenes postmodernas.

Andrey Bartenev is special. A free soul that grew up in Rusia when Humanism was still basic. He has a not-so-positive view on society and this planet, so he prefers to focus on beautiful and happy things. Life is too short!

A fast look at his work shows color, joy and music and crazyness! Society rules are not for him, he refuses to work for television, to follow the mainstream and to let money guide his life. He is an artist, and a performer, and a painter, and a party-organizer, and a digital artist, and an opera director, and.. just whatever he feels like being!

He just spent 10 days at Domaine de Boisbuchet preparing an Opera from scratch! Together with Sasha Frolova (soon in someoneimet.com) and the rest of the crew, they adapted the Nightingale, by Igor Stravinsky. That means music, text, prompts and scenery, costumes (very Bartenev ones) and everything. The results were spectacular.

Andrey Bartenev es un ser especial. Una alma libre que creció en Rusia en los tiempos en los que el humanismo aun era la base de la sociedad. Tiene una visión no demasiado positiva del mundo en el que vivimos, así que prefiere centrarse en las cosas bellas y alegres. La vida es demasiado corta.

Una mirada rápida a su obra nos mostrará mucho color, alegría y música. Las reglas sociales no van con él, sabe lo que es la corriente y cómo mantenerse seco.  Se niega a trabajar para la televisión, a ser parte de la sociedad aborregada y a dejar que el dinero dirija su vida. Hace arte, performances, pinta, organiza fiestas loquísimas, video arte, dirige óperas y.. cualquier cosa que le apetezca!

Acaba de pasar 10 días en Domaine de Boisbuchet donde ha dirigido, desde cero, la ópera “the nightingale” de Igor Stravinsky. Junto a Sasha Frolova (pronto en someoneimet.com) y al resto del equipo han adaptado el texto, compuesto la música, diseñado y construido la escenografía y el vestuario (muy Bartenev) y el resultado fue espectacular.

Bente lives in Aas, south Oslo (Norway) and she is a product and graphic designer. After studying in London she worked there on several lighiting projects for interior design as part of Jonathan Coles studio.Right now she is working on a brand for a head hunter (a person or agency that searches for the ideal person for a specific job or function) that we will soon be able to see.

Bente vive en Aas, al sur de Oslo (Noruega) y es diseñadora industrial y gráfica. Tras estudiar en Londres trabajó en diversos proyectos para la iluminación de locales de ocio en esa misma ciudad como parte del estudio Jonathan Coles. Ahora mismo está metida de lleno en la creación de la imágen corporativa para un ‘head hunter’ (una persona o agencia que busca a la persona más apropiada para un determinado puesto o función) que pronto podremos ver.
